In october 2010, the south korean tech company Samsung launched a revolutionary product that was meant to revolutionize the domestic washing machines world.
Publicis Modem contacted us to help them develop a complex microsite for the spanish launching of the product, which will be completed with some on-site product demos at the most crowded shopping areas of the country.
The action was designed to use full social network potential, thus making use of the big number of Samsung fans and followers. It included a facebook app and a simultaneous microsite.
The concept was clear, we wanted visitors to send cuddles and hugs to their best friends, same way the bubbles in this new technology cuddle and take care of our favourite clothes.
That said, the site was planned to use facebook connect as the login method, so that synergies could be used between both pieces, and users could interact, save their hugs and cuddles, and have them available anytime from both the app and the microsite.
So enter, login with your email or facebook account, and start choosing your best friends to send them small gifts and cuddles that will appear in their facebook feed and wall.
The more you cuddle, the more cuddlepoints you will add to your account, and you will unlock special gifts to send. Create your own bubblemap with your friends and publish it as an album on facebook. Possibilities are endless.
